Jason Healy

Jason Healy grew up outside of New York City and now lives in Boston. He has taught and painted for many years and also has a psychotherapy/art therapy practice. He spends his summers painting in Philmont, NY. 

 Statement:

These landscapes come from several years painting out of the back of my Subaru on country roads around the Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts trying to move toward the life of the shapes and light and away from strict representation. My main inspirations are Richard Diebenkorn and Pierre Bonnard in their seriously playful use of color and loose use of the paint.
