LUCIEN DANTE LAZAR
The Art of the Heart
May 16-June 7, 2026
The Art of the Heart is a solo exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Lucien Dante Lazar. The exhibition gathers a selection of works that illuminate Lazar’s praxis at the intersections of art, science, and spirituality.
Within this body of work, Lazar develops a deeply personal yet universally resonant visual language rooted in auto-ethnographic inquiry. His paintings, drawings, and mixed media works emerge as acts of inner and outer research, where perception, consciousness, and creative force converge. He plays with light and color, aiming to bring forth the “wisdom of the spiritual landscape of the human being’s potential for freedom, and responsibility of love.” Lazar’s use of texture is expressed with high sensitivity, almost like music in form.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Sat, May 16 at 6pm: Exhibition opening
Fri, May 22 at 7pm: The Art of the Heart: The Etheric Heart and Eternal Art: Lecture/presentation by Lucien Dante Lazar
In The Art of the Heart, Lucien Dante Lazar’s practice reveals a central thread in his work: initiation through the etheric heart. This is an ongoing exploration for Lazar of how the human being may awaken to freedom, moral awareness, and creative responsibility in relation to both inner life and the living world. Lazar describes that his artworks “see into the viewers, helping [them] to stand in freedom and love with [their] evolutionary potential as God lovers, earth lovers, and seekers of the spirit and moral guardians of the earth.”
Lazar’s artistic vision situates the human being as both seeker and steward: a participant in an evolving relationship between the earthly and the spiritual. The exhibition emphasizes art as a form of moral technology capable of revealing, awakening, and transforming the inner life of the viewer through sustained attention and imaginative engagement.
This exhibition is curated by Finnish artist Sampsa Pirtola and presented in collaboration with Rudolf Steiner Library (www.rudolfsteinerlibrary.org). This exhibition is open Thur–Sun, 1–5pm.
