MARION VINOT

Born in PARIS, France,1949. Moved to MEXICO-City in December 1967, with her parents. Moved to AUSTIN, Texas on her own, in December 1968, and married painter and sculptor David L. Price who encouraged her imagination and creativity. Began to paint. Autodidact. Studied art history and film.

1976-1985-NEW YORK CITY. Soho where she lived and painted,
for the first four years. Tribeca through 1986, where she
lived and worked in her loft/studio of hand-painted ceramic
tiles that she did for Henry Bendel and Country Floor, NY.
1985-1995-Lived on the island of St Barthelemy in the West
Indies .Birth of her son in 86. Birth of her daughter in 89.
First exhibition, Gallery-20, Peter O'Keefe St Barths-1990.
Second exhibition Gallery-20, St Barths-February 1991.
1991-1995 held a permanent exhibition in her studio
of Corossol, where she lived on the island.
1992-1995-First Private Shows. Repeatedly in Bedford, NY.
Paris, France, and Stinson Beach, California.
1995-Moved to Hudson, New York, with her children.
Stockport years. First Quartet: "The 42 Beings".
Second Quartet: "Meeting with the Angels".
1997-1999-Went to live with her children in British-Columbia.
"Eagle Mountain" years. "The Wood Collection", and the
Third Quartet:"Les Heritiers du Temps".
1999-Returned to Hudson, New York, to school her children at
Hawthorne Valley Anthroposophic School. Although
from 1996 through 1999 she kept on with the private
shows in New York and and in California, she accepted
three public shows for 1999. Eden-Rock-St Barth in March,
Spencertown Academy, Spencertown, NY, in April, and in
July at the De Sisto School, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
2000-Commissioned work for the "Keys" in San Francisco, Calif.
"The Keepers of the Light", 4 panels each 5ft by 32 ft.
March 2001-Javits Center, New York-City for M Studio Gallery.
April and August2001-Carrie Haddad Gallery, Hudson, NY.
April-May 2002-The Boylan Gallery, Rhinebeck, NY.
December 2003-Windham Fine Arts, Windham, NY.
January 2004 and May 2006-Deborah Davis, Hudson, NY.
Commissioned work for 3 murals, oil on plaster, in Private Villa, St Barth, in July-August 2014.
August 2016-Carrie Haddad Gallery, Hudson, NY.
Marion Vinot's work has been represented in St Barths all through the 90's by Nomades Gallery-Peggy Quehé de Benedictis.
Her work is represented in Hudson by Carrie Haddad Gallery since 2006.
