I was born and grew up in Memphis, TN, where, after much exploring, I earned a BFA in Sculpture from the Memphis College of Art in 1983.

I've participated in several group shows at various galleries over the years and was a founding member of the Tivoli Artist Coop in 1987.

I have three sons and live with my husband in Triform Camphill Community where I've taught in the Weaving Workshop since 2005.

For me, making art is a way to think and feel my way through the world. It is dialogue, dance, a call and response that requires listening.

What are the limits? Where are the secrets? It is a language of thoughts through gestures, the understanding of space in time, and the glimpse of time in gestures.

It is the contradiction of light and darkness in space, constantly changing and revealing something new and different.

Each painting is a story with history, memory and a voice. I love the challenge of attempting to discover it.
